OLUBUNMI DEBORAH IGBINIJESU (Senior Pastor)
Pastor Olubunmi Igbinijesu is the Deputy Senior Pastor of Word Assembly which was founded in July 1994, with Headquarters in Lagos, Nigeria. Word Assembly is an apostolic, mission oriented Church Ministry with outreaches in the nations of Belgium and South Africa and satellite churches in Zambia, USA and a few cities in Nigeria with a passion for leadership development, social impact and kingdom relevance.
A passionate, diligent and highly resourceful person, Olubunmi’s overwhelming focus is to help restore the dignity of womanhood. In pursuance of her passion she founded The King’s Daughter, an NGO, through which she is currently empowering women and also reaching out to rehabilitate sexually exploited and under-age prostitutes. Pastor Olubunmi, aside serving as the President of Ladies Affair, the umbrella organisation of all women related ministries; she also coordinates the Directorate of Marriage and Family Life of the ministry; member, Board of Trustees and Central Executive Committee of Word Assembly; Vice-President, Just Couples (an organization with the mission of restoring, reviving and renewing marriage and family values); Faculty Member, Leadership Development Institute (LDI); Proof Producers Bible College (PPBC); and Ministers’ Training School (MTS).
An accountant by training, she also graduated from the Oakseed Executive Leadership Course of the Institute for National Transformation (INT), Lagos. She is married to Pastor Philip Igbinijesu, and together we are blessed with Joshua, Jochebed, and Joel.
